Welcome to my new classroom website!

Hello, my name is Mrs. Bushmaker! This is my 31st year teaching at Crivitz Elementary School. My years have gone by quickly, and have been wonderful and rewarding. My husband, Dave, and I have three children, Tyler, Trevor, and Tori. We live in Coleman, WI, with 2 crazy and loveable dogs, Belle and Molly.  As a family, we love spending time together. We love to go camping in the summer, or have cook outs and swim in the summer.  I especially love watching my children play sports...and I really LOVE to read...and play games with my family.

In my classroom, I like to keep a positive atmosphere that focuses on my students' individual strengths. In order for learning to occur, children must feel safe in their environment. Being flexible, nurturing, and a positive role model, as well as, having expectations clearly defined helps my students feel comfortable & secure. Our school uses PBIS as a school wide positive behavioral system. I am proud to be part of the PBIS team at Crivitz Elementary School. As a teacher, I believe that my most important job is to teach children to become independent thinkers who have the ability to problem solve. I also believe it is important to encourage students to set goals for themselves and help them do whatever it takes to reach their goals, no matter how big or small they may be. My hope is that all of my students will understand the value of lifelong learning, and pursue those goals.
