Forestry Education (WEEB Grant) - K-12 forestry curriculum

  • In 2014 a WEEB (Wisconsin Environmental Education Board) forestry grant was awarded to the School District of Crivitz. The grant has provided professional development opportunities in forestry education for school faculty and those in the surrounding community. Crivitz teachers can now gain access to forestry curriculum, which includes lessons and activities, to implement into K-12 classrooms.

Teachers and students in grades K-12 have also been given the opportunity through the grant to utilize the 8 school forests to gain real-world experiences in forestry, biology, ecology, and conservation. "Forestry Fun for All" is an enrichment summer class additionally funded through the grant, which gives students experiences in the field that cannot take place in a classroom.
