Rick Wakeman's piano solo, 90s tour
Here is one of the all time greatest progressive rock keyboardists playing one of his signature piano solos. He strings together several melodies from his solo recordings, along with some improvisation. Wakeman really shows off both his compositional skills, as well as his incredible musicianship. 2:40 is where he really gets crazy!

Children's March, by Percy Grainger
Another staple of wind band literature, by master composer, Percy Grainger. Children's March is one of those "cute" band pieces that gets stuck in your head for the rest of the day. Just below the surface of the melody, you can hear a lot of complex harmonic moments, various counter melodies and other suble tricks that Grainger uses to make a simple melody come to life.
