Welcome to my classroom website!
I am hoping you will find some useful information here about your child's communication skills. Check out my suggested web sites for parents, as well as for other staff members. Also, feel free to contact me by phone, e-mail, or better yet, stop in and see me. I can be found in the elementary building, up the stairs near the girl's locker room. I am at the elementary school Mondays through Fridays every week.
About me: I am a speech therapist and work with students from 3 years of age up to third grade. I have been providing speech therapy in the Crivitz School District for more than 35 years and really enjoy working with the students and staff.
School Phone number and extension: I can be reached at the elementary school by calling (715-854-2721 extension 481).
Email Address: kamps@crivitz.k12.wi.us
Availability for Parent meetings: Parents are free to call me at any time and leave a message as to what time is best to contact them. All speech students have a current Individual Education Plan (IEP), which needs to be updated at least once per school year. Also, all speech students need to be reevaluated every three years or sooner, as required by special education law. Parents will be contacted to set up a meeting time for their child's IEP meeting and/or reevaluation meeting. I am available during parent/teacher conferences in the elementary building, and parents are free to see me without an appointment.
Classroom Expectations: A speech student may bring home an activity that was completed in speech therapy with a note for parents to review the activity with their child. This is to encourage practice and carry over of skills outside the therapy room. These activities do not need to be returned, and are for the students to continue practicing at home.
