Classroom Expectations:

 

CLASS RULES

1.  Be here and on time for class.  If you are not in the classroom when the bell rings you are tardy.  Tardies will be written up and will be served during morning detentions. Please provide a pass upon arrival if the reason why you aren’t here on time is school related.
2. Be prepared for class.  Bring pencils, paper, and books, which must be covered, to class EVERY day.  The hard copy books that will be provided MUST be with you. There are no exceptions to this rule….  You are given one grace day without a textbook.  After that you will be receiving detentions.  These books are new. They must be covered by August 25..  This will be graded.  Take care of them. You must also take your CHARGED chromebook daily.  You will not be allowed to move seats in order to charge it.  Period. 
3. You are a student in a class of students.  There will be no talking tolerated when I’m talking or other students are talking during class.  Passing times are a great time to talk to your classmates.
4. Bathroom passes will be issued as needed.  Do not abuse the privilege.  Repeatedly asking to leave with room is not going to be accepted.
5. Respect this classroom and who is in it.  Swearing will result in a detention as well as any other unacceptable behavior towards myself or another student.
6. Please put your cell phone in your assigned sleeve upon entering class.  There will be no earbuds in during class.  Hiding them will result in a detention.  There may be times I allow you to listen to music while working…  Please do not ask every day if you can use them.  I’ll let you know.  Smart watches will be closely monitored this year.  Abuse them and you’ll be asked to not bring them to class.

Grade Calculation:

Grades are determine by using total points earned divided by total points possible.

GRADING:

100-93 A 86-83 B 76-73 C 66-63 D

92-90 A- 82-80 B- 72-70 C- 62-60 D-

89-87 B+ 79-77 C+ 69-67 D+ < 60 F 

SEMESTER GRADE

Your Semester Grade will be calculated as follows.

Quarter 1 Grade 40%   Quarter 2 Grade 40% Semester Exam 20%

Exemptions will be granted if a student meets the exemption requirements.
