About Me:

My family and I moved to Crivitz in 2015, but I have been part of the community since 2007 when my husband began working at Crivitz High School. We have three children—Haili (14), Kaden (12), and Paisli (10)—who keep us very busy! In my free time, I enjoy reading, sipping my coffee, and cheering on my kids as they play their sports. I love being part of the Crivitz community and am excited to work with your child this year!

Availability:

I am available on school days from 7:30–7:50 a.m. and 3:15–3:30 p.m. If you send a message, please allow up to 24 hours for a response, Monday through Friday. Thank you for your understanding and support!

Classes Taught:

I teach Kindergarten, where students build a strong foundation for learning through hands-on activities, play, and exploration. Our classroom focuses on developing the whole child—academically, socially, and emotionally.

📚 Kindergarten Curriculum Includes:

• Early Literacy
  Letter recognition, phonics, high frequency words, listening skills, and beginning reading and writing

• Math Foundations
  Number recognition, counting, basic addition and subtraction, shapes, patterns, and measurement

• Science & Social Studies
  Exploring the world around us through experiments, observations, and age-appropriate discussions

• Social & Emotional Learning
  Building independence, cooperation, problem-solving skills, and positive classroom behavior

🌈 Our Learning Approach

Lessons are designed to be engaging, developmentally appropriate, and fun. Students learn through a balance of whole-group instruction, small groups, and hands-on centers.

Grade Calculation:

Kindergarten uses a Standards-Based Report Card to show how students are progressing toward grade-level learning goals. Instead of traditional letter grades, students are assessed based on their understanding and skill development.

📊 Performance Levels

Each standard is marked using one of the following levels:

• Advanced
  The student consistently demonstrates a deep understanding of the standard and can apply the skill independently and beyond expectations.

• Proficient
  The student demonstrates a solid understanding of the standard and meets kindergarten expectations.

• Basic
  The student is developing understanding of the standard and is progressing toward proficiency.

• Minimal
  The student shows limited understanding of the standard and requires significant support and practice.

🎒 Classroom Supplies

• 12 #2 pencils

• 1 eraser

• 1 pencil box (labeled with student’s name)

• 2 two-pocket folders

• 1 pair of kid-size scissors

• 1 bottle of liquid glue

• 4 glue sticks

• 2 boxes of Crayola crayons (16-count or 24-count)

• 1 box of washable markers

• 4 Expo markers (fine tip)

• 2 containers of disinfectant wipes

• 2 boxes of tissues

• Headphones (no earbuds, please)

• Backpack (labeled with student’s name)
